The recent occurrence of summer solstice/the longest day of the year makes us think of sunny and summery art here at the Dancing Eye Gallery. Above are some examples of what we picked to signify that our favorite season has finally arrived! Yellow seems to be a theme! What do you think of?
Fun comes to downtown Northville this weekend with Arts & Acts festival from Friday, June 21 through Sunday, June 23! The Dancing Eye Gallery has loads of local art! Above photos are just a sampling of what you’ll find!
As the school year ends, don’t forget your teachers and how much they give all year to mold and broaden their students’ minds. A “thank you” comes in many different forms. The Dancing Eye Gallery can help with a thoughtful gift and/or a card. Come in and see us!
Make sure to scroll back to our previous posts for more gift ideas! There is so much more!
We know that Mom would really love something unique, sentimental and thoughtful from the Dancing Eye Gallery so we remind you that this Sunday is Mother’s Day. Need we say more? Don’t dare forget the mother in your life! She is a very special person. We are special here, too, because we will wrap your gift and make it beautiful – just for Mom!
And don’t forget the graduate!
Two artists – one a sculptural ceramicist turned potter, (aka “Claypaws” from her past creation of life-size dogs) and the other with a background in digital art now create unique, functional pottery and signed with their paw print trademark! They make their glazes on site and also throw the pottery.
Dowidat Ceramics are newer to the Dancing Eye Gallery, so we wanted to let our customers know and invite you to come in and take a look. We love their “earthy” items and think that you will too! Spring is the perfect time of year to shine a little light on something fresh, isn’t it?
Whistling Frog Tile Company is a melding of the talents of Rick Pruckler and Tonya Lutz. Because they care about the environment, their one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces celebrate wildflowers and plants, endangered species, local history and destinations in Michigan. They also have a tireless devotion to the community. From dogs and cats to preserving history, they help feed, fund, contribute and donate to sanctuaries and institutions that encourage learning and awareness of the beauty surrounding us. Every purchase made helps their small business and makes the world a better place.
Today we feature Rick’s design and creation from their Urban Industrial category. These lamps are inspired by southeastern Michigan’s manufacturing history. The Dancing Eye Gallery carries a selection of gear tiles, scooter boxes and urban hearts from the same collection, as well.
Don’t miss the super blood moon lunar eclipse visible to us late Sunday, January 20 into early Monday, January 21. And if it makes you see red, then come in to the Dancing Eye Gallery–we see RED!
